Lateral step ups or hops

Physiotherapy in Vernon for Hip

Stand parallel to an 8-12 inch step bench.

With your right foot, step up sideways onto the step, following with the left. 

Step off the step sideways to the right with the right foot, following with the left. 

Return to the start position by repeating the step pattern leading with the left. 

To increase the intensity of this exercise, hop with your right as you bring the left foot on top of the step, bringing the right foot down to the floor.

Repeat as advised by your Vernon Physiotherapy & Rehab physiotherapist.
