Kees Huisken

Kees graduated in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, in 1983 and worked in hospitals, extended care facilities, rehabilitation centers, “on the field” with sport teams the Dutch National Rugby team, premier division field hockey teams and many individual athletes from skiing, tri athletes, soccer players  and many more. I have been the owner of Vernon Physiotherapy since 1996.

Kees is the past president of the Physiotherapy Association of BC (1991-1993). Current member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and the Royal Dutch Physiotherapy Association

Kees's interest is in general orthopedics, sports injury and have taken many courses over the years to stay on top of all the new developments in the exciting world of physiotherapy. He has been actively involved in many sports personally as a player and a coach, which gives him the unique inside that an injured athlete and worker needs to successfully, recover from an injury. Kees has a special interest in the treatment of foot and ankle injuries and developed a very effective technique to restore normal movement in the foot and ankle. 

Kees's slogan is keep it simple and effective and that is how he has been working since graduation in 1983.

Paul Makse
BSc (PT)  MCPA

Paul has worked as an associate physiotherapist at the clinic since 2000.  Paul graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1997 and has over 11 years experience in private practice.  He has a keen interest in providing active physiotherapy  -- "hands-on" treatment and exercises -- and has completed numerous post-graduation courses to enhance his assessment and treatment skills.  In addition to clinical physiotherapy Paul also offer consultations, provides home physiotherapy visits and aquatic-based exercise therapy. 

Cindy Ecclestone  BScPT MCPA     

Cindy’s 17 years of experience as a physiotherapist have been a great combination of clinic, hospital and community environments. From experiences overseas with international humanitarian organizations to injured workers and athletes here in Vernon, the adventures continue. Teaching at our Massage Therapy College in town, ski patrolling the slopes at Silver Star Mountain and caring for the elderly at Heron Grove also compliment Cindy’s fresh start with us here at Vernon Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Clinic.
